FRIENDS DISASTER SERVICES
An outreach ministry of Friends Church of North Carolina (FCNC). Volunteers, services, and contributions toward the work of FDS are representative of many different faiths. When winds, flood, fire, or some other disaster destroys or seriously damages a home, NC FDS is ready to respond to the under or non-insured. It is through this service that volunteers, both men, and women, with varying backgrounds and ages, come together sharing their gifts of time, talents, and love to build or repair a house for the family home. It has been said that FDS does not just build houses, but rebuilds lives. It is through the support of many individuals’ prayers and financial contributions that this work continues.
